A neo-brutalist note-taking application built on Django 6, using Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL as its relational store (via psycopg2-binary, dj-database-url, and django-environ).
Authentication is handled by django-allauth, bringing in Google OAuth out of the box (with python3-openid, requests-oauthlib, oauthlib, and PyJWT supporting the flow) rather than hand-rolling login, registration, and password reset from scratch.
Django-widget-tweaks gives finer control over form rendering in templates without needing a separate forms framework. Gunicorn and Whitenoise handle production serving and static assets respectively, making the app deployable without a separate CDN or static file service — and it’s deployed on Render, connecting to Postgres via a DATABASE_URL environment variable with a local SQLite fallback when that’s unset.
The UI is designed to be intuitive and engaging, with a retro and simultaneously minimalist vibe, providing a clean and calm experience.

This project is deployed on Render’s free tier, so the demo app may take up to 30–60 seconds to load if it’s been inactive — the server spins down after periods of no traffic and needs a moment to wake back up. Supabase is also prone to pausing the database, as much as I keep on top of it. Thanks for your patience! Once it’s loaded, it should run smoothly.
